IPL 2025: In the 29th match of IPL 2025 played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on 13 April 2025, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 12 runs to register an exciting victory. For the first time in this match, there was a hat -trick of run out in IPL history, which overturned the attitude of the match. Mumbai Indians, batting first, scored 205 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Tilak Verma scored a fast innings of 59 in 33 balls, while Ryan Ricelton scored 41 runs in 25 balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored 40 runs in 28 balls. Naman Dheer finally added 38 not out of 17 balls to a strong score to the team.
 

Chasing a target of 206 runs, Delhi Capitals started poorly, when Jake Fraser-Macgarck was dismissed on the first ball. However, Karun Nair and Abhishek Porel shared a 119 -run partnership for the second wicket and brought the team to a strong position. Karun Nair played a brilliant innings of 89 runs in 40 balls.

Run out hat -trick changed the match

The decisive turn of the match came in the 19th over, when Jaspreet Bumrah's bowling bowled three Delhi batsmen - Ashutosh Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohit Sharma - were run out off three balls. This was the first time in IPL history when a run -out hat -trick took place in a single over, which destroyed Delhi's hopes of victory.
